Each district in Himachal Pradesh offers eminent culture and food, but Kangri Dham of Kangra district excels in every aspect as a traditional world-famous feast.
The Government of Himachal Pradesh declared Paragpur a heritage village in 1997. It is believed that this village was established nearly three centuries ago.
Besides Kinner Kailash, Sangala valley is also the major centre of attraction here. Situated on the bank of the Baspa river, this area is located at an altitude of 8900 ft from the sea level.

It is believed that Baba Banwari Das, the saint used to live with his companion Nahar at the particular place where this castle was built. Nahar means ‘ do not hit ‘ and probably this town has got its name from the word Nahar.
Himachal’s Kinnaur district is the only place that grows pine nuts in India, the merchants across country depend on farmers here. Fortunately the season has been good for farmers this year due to which the price of pine nuts have also dipped reasonably.
It is very nutritious as well as tasty because it is made of protien rich split black gram lentils (Urad dal). Except Himachal Pradesh, this dish is not that much popular in the other provinces of the country.
They contain polysaccharides which have several medical properties including antiviral, immunoregulatory, anti-tumour growth effects and resistance to fatigue. Having antioxidant effects, these mushrooms help preventing heart disease and colorectal cancer.

हिमाचल पथ परिवहन निगम ने फिलहाल ट्रायल के तौर पर 7 बसों का संचालन शुरू किया है। आने वाले समय-समय में जैसे-जैसे बसों में यात्रियों की संख्या बढ़ेगी, वैसे-वैसे लग्जरी बसों की संख्या भी बढाई जाएगी।
